Zimbabwe: $1 Billion approved For Robert Mugabe University [LOOK]

The government of Zimbabwe has approved $1 billion grant for the establishment of Robert Gabriel Mugabe University, APA reports.

The proposed named after the long-serving leader of the country would be constructed in Mazowe district, about 40km northwest of Harare near Harare.

The higher education minister, Jonathan Moyo, said that cabinet has approved a $800 million grant and another $200 million for the establishment of the university’s endowment fund for research and innovation.

The minister said the university would concentrate on the “critical STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) areas almost exclusively at graduate level to produce super specialists and super experts
