Zimbabwe: $1 Billion approved For Robert Mugabe University [LOOK]

The government of Zimbabwe has approved $1 billion grant for the establishment of Robert Gabriel Mugabe University, APA reports.

The proposed named after the long-serving leader of the country would be constructed in Mazowe district, about 40km northwest of Harare near Harare.

The higher education minister, Jonathan Moyo, said that cabinet has approved a $800 million grant and another $200 million for the establishment of the universitya��s endowment fund for research and innovation.

The minister said the university would concentrate on the a�?critical STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) areas almost exclusively at graduate level to produce super specialists and super experts
